Photography in Crich, Derbyshire

Crich is a hilltop village people travel to, for the Tramway Village museum and Crich Stand, so businesses up there have locals and visitors to win over. Both look at your photos first. I’ll photograph your actual place on a good day, to replace whatever’s been on the website since it was built.

Who can photograph a café or a holiday let in Crich?

North Bear Media can. Norton Hunt is based in Belper, about four miles from Crich, and photographs places that rely on visitors, like cafés and holiday lets, inside and out, with the shoot planned round the light and the season. Regular photos come inside Found & Filmed at £995 a month, and the £295 Marketing MOT is the usual start.

Crich has got two lots of customers.

It’s known for the Crich Tramway Village museum and the Crich Stand memorial, and you can see right across Derbyshire from up there, so people come up specially.

Most businesses here have the people who live in the village and use them every week, plus the visitors who look them up before they set off. Both decide a lot from your photos, and a pub or café that looks tired online loses the visit before anybody’s got in the car. I’ll fix that.

What you need is your actual place on a good day, inside and out, planned round the time of year and the light. Up on the hill the weather changes everything, and I know how to work with it.

I’m in Belper, about four miles away, so I come up and have a look first, then we pick a day that suits.

Crich looks different in July to how it does in January.

That’s why Found & Filmed suits places up here. I’m out with you every quarter, so the photos keep up with the seasons.

Found & Filmed is a filming day at yours each quarter where I get the video and the stills, then I edit them and post them for you steadily. Comments on the posts get replied to, and the website’s hosted and looked after with me too. You’ve got a business to run, so I take all that off you. It’s £995 a month, rolling monthly with 30 days’ notice, so if it’s not working you stop.

If you want one set of photos, the holiday let before the season starts or a new menu say, that’s a project. I’ll come up and have a look, then give you a price before anything’s booked.

Or there’s the MOT, at £295. It shows where you come up on Google and in ChatGPT, and I go through your Google Business Profile as part of it, which is often where a visitor sees your photos first.

A place, photographed on a good day.

This one’s Ivy House, a care home, with the buildings and the gardens in the autumn sun. It’s the same job as a pub garden or a holiday let, just a different building.

    Who they’re for

Visitors planning a day out or the regulars? That decides what’s worth photographing.

    Picking the day

We pick a day and a time with the season and the light in mind, and keep a spare one in case it rains.

    Inside and out

I photograph the place inside and out, and anybody in the pictures gets enough direction to feel at ease, not like they’re performing.

    Where they go

They’re edited and sized for wherever they’re going, which for most places in Crich is the website and the Google listing.

Common questions about photography in Crich.

How much does business photography cost in Crich?

Photos every quarter come inside Found & Filmed, £995 a month, filming day on site included. That’s well under the cost of a hire, and I bring the cameras and lights, so there’s no kit to buy. A single shoot is priced as a project once I’ve scoped it, because a café garden is a different job from a full day round a holiday let. The Marketing MOT is £295.

How long does a photoshoot take?

One to three hours. A whole venue inside and out, a pub and its garden say, takes half a day, partly because the outside shots wait for the right light.

Where do you shoot?

At your place in Crich, inside and out, because that’s what visitors want to see before they make the trip. If a view helps, there’s plenty up on the hill, and for product shots I’ll set up studio space.

How quickly do I get the photos?

We agree a date for them when we plan the shoot, and if they’re for the season we work back from when you need them up. They come as a gallery of edited, high resolution photos.

Can I use the photos for anything?

Yes. Full commercial usage rights are included, so a holiday let can put them on its booking listings as well as its own website, or in print.

P200// OVER TO YOU

When somebody’s planning a day out to Crich, does your place come up, and does it look worth the trip?

The MOT checks exactly that, for £295. I search the way a visitor would, something like ‘somewhere to eat near Crich Tramway Village’, on Google and in ChatGPT, and see whether you come up. Or book a call if you’d rather talk first.
