SEO that gets you found in Derbyshire.

When somebody in Derbyshire searches for what you do, or asks ChatGPT, it should be you that comes up, not somebody who’s no better than you. That’s what I fix: your website and your Google listing, mainly, and I explain it in plain English, not nerd.

Who can help a Derbyshire business show up on Google and in ChatGPT?

Norton Hunt at North Bear Media in Belper does local SEO for businesses across Derbyshire, including AI search, which is whether ChatGPT and Perplexity can read your site and suggest you. It’s ongoing work, done inside Found & Filmed at £995 a month. The £295 Marketing MOT, which tests AI search first, is the usual place to start.

You’re good at what you do, but Google doesn’t seem to know it.

Most businesses I talk to have a competitor who keeps coming up first, and nobody’s ever told them why.

You’re stuck on page two or three for the things you sell, and the firm above you isn’t any better at the job. They’ve just had more done to their website. Now there’s ChatGPT too, and when you ask it who does what you do round here, it names somebody else.

Usually it’s because nobody’s looking after it. The website got built and left, and the Google Business Profile was set up once and forgotten. Search slips down the list, and nobody notices it going wrong until the phone goes quiet.

I’ll sort that. I work out what’s holding you back first, then fix it in the order that makes the most difference, which usually means the boring technical work to start with. You’ve got a business to run, so I take the whole thing off your plate.

  • RANKING //PAGE THREE
  • MAP RESULTS //NOT SHOWING
  • CHATGPT //NAMES SOMEBODY ELSE
  • BUSINESS PROFILE //SET UP ONCE

Everything your SEO actually needs.

This is what the SEO side involves, and it’s part of Found & Filmed, not a separate thing. Where there’s a word in here I can’t avoid, I’ll tell you what it means.

  • 01Where you stand nowWhere you come up right now and what people round here are searching for. The MOT covers most of that, with two of your competitors scored next to you, so it’s the place to start.
  • 02The searches that matterThe phrases somebody would type, ‘who do I talk to about mowing lawns in Belper’ rather than your business name, each one matched to the right page so your pages aren’t fighting each other.
  • 03On the pageThe page titles and the words on each page, so Google can tell what the page is about and which searches it should answer.
  • 04Under the bonnetSpeed and how the site works on a phone, plus the technical work that lets Google read it properly in the first place. Schema markup is one of those: labels in the code saying this is a business and this is where it is.
  • 05Google Business Profile and the mapYour listing with the pin and the reviews on, kept accurate, because that’s what gets you into the map above the normal results. Then it’s making it easy for your real customers to leave you a review.
  • 06AI searchYour site set up so ChatGPT and the other assistants can read it, with the AI language version I mentioned above.
  • 07A report every month, and a callEvery month I write up what’s changed and where you’re coming up on Google and in ChatGPT, in plain English, and then we talk it through on a call.

From invisible on Google to found by local customers.

Here’s how it goes once we start. There’s nothing mysterious about it: it’s doing things in the right order and keeping at it.

  1. 01 //

    Have a proper look

Where you rank now and what people near you search for, because I work from facts, not guesses.

  2. 02 //

    Fix the foundations

The technical work and the on-page basics first, mainly speed on a phone and the page titles, because everything else depends on them.

  3. 03 //

    Build it up

Then your Google Business Profile and your reviews. After that it’s pages that answer what people round here are asking, so Google and ChatGPT have a reason to put you forward.

  4. 04 //

    Keep at it

I keep an eye on where you’re coming up, and we go through it on the monthly call and change things as we need to. SEO is never finished, but once the groundwork’s done it gets easier to keep moving.

SEO’s part of Found & Filmed now, and the MOT’s the easy way in.

I don’t sell SEO on its own any more, because it works far better when your website and your Google listing are both kept up to date at the same time. So it sits inside Found & Filmed, and if you want to know where you stand first, that’s what the MOT is for.

£295

Marketing MOT

One-off, back within 48 hours

CLIENT // Any local business // BOUGHT ONLINE, NO CALL

Problem
Six checks, and the first is whether ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers mention you. You get a score out of 100 and the three things I’d fix first. It’s yours to keep, and it isn’t taken off anything later.

£995

Found & Filmed

A month, rolling, 30 days’ notice either way

CLIENT // Businesses that want it kept going // +£450 A MONTH PER EXTRA LOCATION

Problem
Being found on Google and in AI search is the main part of it. Alongside that there’s a filming day on site each quarter, the video and stills edited and captioned, the posting and the replies, your website’s hosting and care, and a report and a call every month. All for less than a full-time hire, with no training, and I bring the kit.

Local search isn’t the same across Derbyshire.

Search for the same thing in Derby and then in Matlock and Google shows you different results, so good local SEO starts with where your customers are.

In Derby there’s far more competition for every search, so the detail on each service page and a well-kept Google Business Profile carry real weight. Up in Matlock, Wirksworth and the rest of the Derbyshire Dales, the customer is often a visitor searching before they travel, sometimes from well outside the county.

Round the Amber Valley, so Belper, Ripley, Alfreton and Heanor, most searches are somebody nearby on their phone, and the map results and the reviews decide who gets the call.

I’m based in Belper, so the first conversation can be at your place or on a call, whichever’s easier. Once I’ve seen how the business works, I write pages that speak to your customers.

Common questions about SEO in Derbyshire.

How long does SEO take to work?

Months, not weeks, and the bigger gains build from there. How much competition there is for what you do sets the pace, and I’ll give you a straight view once I’ve seen where you stand.

Can you guarantee a number one ranking on Google?

No, and be wary of anybody who does, because nobody controls Google. What I do is the work that moves rankings: fixing the site and going after the right local searches, in the order that makes the biggest difference.

What’s the difference between local SEO and regular SEO?

Local SEO is about being found by people near you, the ‘web design Belper’ type of search, plus the map results that sit above the normal ones. Regular SEO is broader. For most Derbyshire businesses the local side is where the work comes from, so that’s where I start, with your Google Business Profile and your reviews.

Do I need to pay every month for SEO management, or can you do a one-off?

Ongoing SEO management is part of Found & Filmed, which is £995 a month, rolling, with 30 days’ notice either way, so if it’s not working you stop. If you want a one-off, the Marketing MOT is £295 and gives you the three things I’d fix first, which you can do yourself or hand to somebody else.

How much does SEO cost in Derbyshire?

SEO from me comes inside Found & Filmed at £995 a month, which also covers a filming day on site each quarter, the posting and the replies, your website’s hosting and care, and a monthly report and call. A business with more than one location pays £450 a month on top for each extra one. The Marketing MOT is a separate one-off at £295.

Will you work with my existing website or do I need a new one?

I work with what you’ve got wherever I can, because most sites can be improved without starting again, and I already look after sites other people built. If yours is holding you back, because it’s slow or hard to use on a phone, I’ll tell you, and a rebuild would be priced after a quick chat.

Can you help with our Google Business Profile and reviews?

Yes, and for most local businesses it’s one of the first things I fix: getting the details right and adding photos of your actual business. Reviews only count when they come from genuine customers, so the work is making it easy for customers to leave one.

Can you get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Nobody can guarantee what ChatGPT says, but I’ll give you the best chance of being the one it suggests. I make sure your website and your Google listing say clearly what you do and where, in a way it can read, and I help you build up the reviews it pays attention to.

Do you do SEO in the Derbyshire Dales, round Matlock and Wirksworth?

Yes. I’m in Belper, so the Dales are close, and I cover Matlock and Wirksworth as well as Derby and the Amber Valley. Most Dales businesses sell to visitors who search before they travel, so I plan the pages round that.

Where in Derbyshire do you work?

I’m based in Belper, and I work across Derbyshire and the East Midlands round it, including Derby, Ripley, Alfreton, Heanor, Ilkeston, Matlock, Wirksworth and the rest of the Dales. Most of the SEO work doesn’t need me on site, so if you’re further out we talk on a call.

P200// OVER TO YOU

When somebody in Derbyshire asks Google or ChatGPT for what you do, who do they get?

That’s exactly what the MOT is for. AI search is the first of the six checks, and you get it back within 48 hours. Or if you’d rather have a chat first, book a call.
