Videography in Alfreton, Derbyshire

Alfreton’s a working town. Firms here get judged on the work and the people doing it, and that’s exactly what video shows best. I come over from Belper, seven miles away, with the cameras and lights, and film it where it happens.

Who can film a business video in Alfreton?

North Bear Media does. Norton Hunt comes over from Belper, seven miles away, and films Alfreton firms on site, from units on Castlewood Business Park to shops on the High Street. Video is part of Found & Filmed at £995 a month, with a filming day every quarter. The £295 Marketing MOT is the place to start.

In Alfreton it’s mostly about showing the work.

Alfreton sits right on the A38, with trades and manufacturers out on the business parks, Castlewood and the rest, and the shops and services along the High Street.

For a firm out on one of the estates, a short film lets a buyer walk round your yard and workshop before they ever come out to you. The same footage earns its keep again when you’re recruiting, because people want to see where they’ll be working before they apply.

For a shop or a service on the High Street, it’s smaller and more often: a clip of whoever’s behind the counter, or you answering the question customers ask most.

I make sure the posts and descriptions say Alfreton in them, because that’s what people type into Google and ChatGPT when they want somebody local. A good video with nothing saying where you are won’t bring anyone through the door.

How it works for a firm out Alfreton way.

For most firms out this way, it’s Found & Filmed: £995 a month, with a filming day on site every quarter.

Every three months I come out and film for the day, in the workshop or out on a job, then I edit it with captions on and it goes out steadily until the next one. You’ve got a business to run, so I handle it end to end. Being found on Google and in AI search is built in, and for a firm just off the A38 that matters most, because the people looking for you aren’t always from Alfreton itself. It’s rolling monthly, 30 days’ notice either way, so if it’s not working you stop.

Struggling to hire? I make short recruitment films called Work Here films, and there’s a page about those.

Want to see where you stand first? The MOT is £295, and part of it is me asking ChatGPT who does what you do round Alfreton and writing down who it suggests. You keep the report either way.

From a walk round the yard to something people actually watch.

Here’s how it goes when I come out to a firm in Alfreton.

01 //
A look round
I come out for a walk round with you, and we pin down who needs to see it: a buyer, or somebody you’re trying to hire.
02 //
The filming
I film the work as it happens, so you don’t stop for me, and anybody who doesn’t fancy being on camera stays off it.
03 //
The edit
I cut it down and caption it, and you see it and sign it off before anything’s posted.
04 //
Out it goes
It goes on the platforms you use, and I track what people watch, so the next filming day is planned round what’s working.

This is a photo I took, not a still from a video: one of Richford Motor Services’ recovery trucks on their yard in Alfreton. Filming works the same way. Your vehicles, your people, your own yard, shot properly.

Common questions about videography in Alfreton.

What does video production cost near Alfreton?

Regular video is part of Found & Filmed at £995 a month, with a filming day at yours every quarter. That’s far less than hiring a videographer, with no training and no kit to buy, because I bring mine. The MOT is £295 if you want to see where you stand first.

What types of business video do you produce?

Brand films, promotional videos, customer testimonials, interviews, social media clips, training videos and short recruitment films. For an Alfreton firm I start with whatever your buyers or your new starters most need to see.

Can you film at my Alfreton business?

Yes. I’m in Belper, seven miles from Alfreton, and I bring everything to you, whether that’s a unit on Castlewood Business Park or a shop on the High Street. I’ll come out on a job with you too.

How long from filming to finished video?

I set the timeline when I scope the job, based on its size and how many versions you need, so you know before I film. On Found & Filmed, each filming day’s footage goes out steadily until the next one, not all at once.

Do you provide different formats?

Yes. I plan the formats before I film, so you get a longer version for your website and shorter upright ones for social media, upright meaning the shape that fits a phone screen.
