Videography in Cromford, Derbyshire

Cromford’s just up the A6 from me, in the same valley as Belper, so it’s a short run up the road with the kit. Most businesses there serve visitors as well as locals, and that’s where I start when we plan the film.

Who’ll come out and film a business in Cromford?

North Bear Media will. Norton Hunt is based in Belper, further down the Derwent valley, and films Cromford businesses, including ones that rely on people visiting the mills and the canal. Video is part of Found & Filmed at £995 a month, with a quarterly filming day. The £295 Marketing MOT is the first step.

The same valley, a bit further up the A6.

Cromford grew up round Richard Arkwright’s cotton mills, and with Belper it’s part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, so I’m just further down the same valley.

If your customers include people visiting the mills or walking the canal, video is the best way to show them your place before they arrive: the inside, the people, the welcome. If they’re mostly local, it’s about who you are, so they know you’re worth the trip.

Old stone and water look great on camera, but the film stays about your people and why somebody should pick you over the place next door. That’s what brings them in.

Depending on what you want to show, we film on a quiet weekday or a busy weekend, whichever tells it better.

How it works for a Cromford business.

It’s part of Found & Filmed, £995 a month, with me coming up to film at yours once a quarter.

For somewhere that gets visitors, filming through the year beats one big film. The place looks different in March to August, and people notice when everything you post was shot on the same day.

I edit and caption what we film, post it for you steadily, and handle replies when people comment. You’ve got a business to run, so let me run this. Being found on Google and in AI search is built in, which matters when people are looking for somewhere to go nearby. It’s rolling monthly, 30 days’ notice either way, so if it’s not working you stop.

Want to see where you stand first? The MOT is £295, and it’s a good place to start.

Here’s how it runs, with the setting planned in from the start.

  1. 01 //

    Purpose and timing

We agree what it’s for and who it’s aimed at, then pick a time when the light and the place suit what we’re filming.

  2. 02 //

    Inside and out

I film inside and out, and you carry on running the business while I get everything the edit needs.

  3. 03 //

    The edit

Music and subtitles go on in the edit, and you see a draft before anything’s final.

  4. 04 //

    Sharing it

I plan where it goes, so people planning a day out see it as well as the locals.

Common questions about videography in Cromford.

How much does video production cost in Cromford?

Found & Filmed is £995 a month, and that’s how I do video for Cromford businesses, with a filming day at yours each quarter so the seasons show. If you’d like to see where you stand first, the Marketing MOT is £295.

How long does a video project take?

I agree a timeline with you before anything’s filmed, based on the size of the video and how many versions you need. If there’s an opening or an event it has to be ready for, that date goes straight into the plan.

Do you provide equipment?

Yes. I bring my own cameras and lighting. No kit to buy, nobody to train, and far less than taking someone on. You just pick the day.

Do you film in Cromford?

Yes. I film in Cromford and along the Derwent valley, plus Belper and the rest of the county. It’s normally at your premises, and if somewhere outside suits the video better, I’ll find the spot.

P200// OVER TO YOU

When somebody’s planning a day out near Cromford and looks for what you do, do you come up?

The MOT shows you exactly that. It’s £295, and I check Google and ChatGPT the way somebody planning a visit would. Or book a call if you’d rather talk it through first.
